Causes of social vices
Unstable homes, but this is a school so ----
Youth involvement: - youth spend more time with friends at school and at home, bearing in mind that they are weak in nature and at their tender age they are vulnerable and can be easily influences.
There is also the high curiosity to learn, to have fun and practice new things thus end up smoking, drinking, prostituting and many more unexpected vices are committed.
Some secret meetings (on and off campus) societies appear in uniforms that are usually odd and easy to identify. Non-members that appear in their uniforms (usually black over black) are harassed, embarrassed and even beaten or killed. Members are often found partaking in activities in very odd. They usually engage themselves in gangsters’ activities like taking of cocaine, marijuana (Indian hemp) and even drink human blood. They take delight in seeing fellow human beings suffer and die gruesomely.
In view of the above no unauthorized gathering is allowed in EUI. This rule has been put in place to protect all persons within the EUI campus. So with the use of technology all areas in the school compound are under watch, meaning one cannot hide when practicing or taking part in any illicit action. The slogan “Big brother is watching” is very true.
This cuts across all levels of learning. No favoritism and no specials. More information are available on page 51 section of the EUI Student Handbook of Information.
Disorderly conduct: All available or contained in page 47 of the EUI student handbook of Information.
It is expected that all rules and regulations should be obeyed. Some of such rules are:
Maintenance rules: facilities in EUI
Destruction of property
You are here to learn and while at that it will not be fair of you to make other learners uncomfortable so Penalties are meted on those who do not or are not interested in having a smooth stay in EUI
With all of these done, what happens to such and individual who is not able to overcome these peer pressure?
