PROHIBITION OF PROVOCATIVE MATERIALS ON EDO UNIVERSITY IYAMHO SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

It has come to the notice of the Management of Edo University Iyamho that provocative posts such as religious posts, irrelevant courtesies, political views, ethnic ideologies, sentimental opinions and posts lacking academic content which are considered as hate and sentimental speech are being posted on the University’s social media platforms by Staff.

Management, hereby states that posting such materials on any of the University’s social media platforms is highly prohibited. Sentimental, divisive and provocative posts are considered insensitive and of no benefit to members of staff and the University. The University’s social media platforms are strictly for academic use and the dissemination of academic information within the University Community.

Consequently, posting such contents shall not be allowed henceforth. It is to be noted that any member of Staff found posting such prohibited contents on Edo University Iyamho social media platforms will be dealt with in accordance with the Rules and Regulations Governing the Service of Staff of Edo University Iyamho.
