Abstract

The study examines the effectiveness of queuing models in the establishment and services organizatins.  It attempts to find a balance between cost associated with having to wait for service and the costs of providing a fast service.  Queuing model are set of tools for analyzing such problems concerned with providing service to customers. It helps to determine the Distribution of inter-arrival times.  Distribution of service times and gives the number of servers.  Queuing theory system have an effect especially organizations especially on time and cost in serving customers.  The paper examines waiting and cost of operations in First Bank Plc. Ugbowo, Benin City using questionnaires administered, testing of Hypotheses and Spearman correlation to evaluate the effectiveness of queuing theory in the Banking industry.
