Abstract

      In the early 1900’s when banking business was introduced into the country, the business wasn’t that progressing and attractive, not until in the 1960’s when training and manpower development has taken place.  With so many people highlighting on the impact of training and manpower development in an organization, Iyayi (2005) described training and manpower development as the activities that are directed towards providing the people of an organization with the skills, attitudes and motivation needed to perform the work of the organization in an effective and efficient manner.
