Abstract
Research is the process of investigating or finding out something new or improvement of poor result in a systematic way thereby increasing knowledge. National development is that increase of the national income or total volume of production of goods and services of a country accompanied by improvements in the total standard of living of the people. It is a total upward structural shift of the social system in terms of a capacity to produce, supply, distribute and consume good and services required by a growing society with changing tastes such that more efficient, higher and more equitable standard of living is attained and absolute poverty eliminated. The main interest in this paper is to determine the lesson learnt in research and national development.
