Engr Prof. EVBOGBAI, Ma-Riekpen Jacob Edekin CNC, FRHD, FCIDA is the pioneering Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Edo University, Iyamho, Edo State, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D in Electrical Power and Machines (Electrical Power Systems Protection), Master of Engineering (M.ENG) and Bachelor of Engineering (B.ENG) in electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
Engr Prof. Evbogbai Ma-Riekpen Jacob Edekin sojourn in the Academic world has recorded for him a number of feats. He is very vast in University administration and has held many administrative positions since 1999, when He was employed as Lecturer II, in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He was Associate Senior Lecturer, Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, 2005 – 2006. He has published several articles in both local and international journal, and has presented several papers at international conferences. This highly industrious and practicing Electrical and Electronic Engineer has served, as overseer in the Works and Services Department in the Vice Chancellors Office, Edo University Iyamho (2017 – 2018), the Technical secretary, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Ekpoma Branch (2007-2009). He has also served in several committees at the University. He is a servant of the people and has been involved several community development projects. He has secured some honours and awards to his credit. He is a Fellow of the Strategic Institute for Natural Resources and Human Development (FRHD) and Fellow, Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration (FCIDA). He is a member of many professional Bodies. He is a Captain, Nigerian Legion Corps of Commissionaire’s, Edo State Command.
Engr Prof. EVBOGBAI, Ma-Riekpen Jacob Edekin is presently the financial secretary Committee of Deans Engineering and Technology of Nigerian University CODET. He is a member of Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC), African Engineering Deans Council (AEDC). He is registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and is married with children.
His research areas of interest includes; Renewable Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering Materials and Information Communication Technology.
